We live more and more dangerously. The news abounds with  human, material and financial catastrophes due to undesired events. The science of danger and specifically the risks analysis bring very important elements to identify and imagine scenarios of risks, to envisage their probabilities, their induced costs and to define and dimension preventive barriers in order to make them become acceptable.

The tool facilitates the use of methods which contribute to identify, qualify and quantify the so called “hazard process” generating a global risk in order to define preventive barriers to decrease its effects.

The steps:

  • Analyze risks with a systemic approach (method MOSAR)
  • Iidentify the processes of danger (model MADS)
  • Create scenarios of risks and events trees
  • Identify undesired events (theory of probability, calculation of induced costs)
  • Negotiate the Gravity vs Probability grids and treat as hierarchy of scenarios
  • Define and quantify the preventive barriers
  • Revaluate the scenarios in the GxP grids
  • Determine the residual risks

The steps:

  • Identify the procedural risks with activities analysis and the technical risks with functional analysis
  • Evaluate the risks by building and quantifying failure trees
  • Negotiate the detailed prevention objectives and  map barriers on the Un Desired Events (U.D.E.)

  • Manage the risks and create the action plan in the event of accident.
